Read the cautious caterpillar story below.
Then complete the 'spreading my wings from Year 1 to Year 2' booklet attached. Use this as a chance to discuss any excitements/ fears your child may have towards returning to school in a new class next year. Try and spend some time completing this booklet thoroughly.
It may be good to keep referring to the booklet across the summer break if they are nervous about coming back, and they can always bring the booklet with them on the first day of Year 2 if it will help them.
