Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend? I had a lovely time on my 10k sunrise walk. I got up at 3.30am and saw in the sunrise. Luckily, it was a beautiful morning!

Today, I'd like you to research all about the ancient Roman city of Pompeii and what happened there. You can use the powerpoint below for this. Later in the week, your big write will be a newspaper article, describing the events. Today though, once you've researched Pompeii, I'd like you to have a go at the reading comprehension attached below. Choose your level of difficulty.
You could also do your handwriting and make sure it is super neat, ready for Year 4! I've added a word search as I know you like to do those. These should help you to be ready for your spelling test on Spelling Shed tomorrow (we're still the leaders!).

I will let your parents know soon when we will use Microsoft Teams this week. I've recorded the video of myself reading the book 'Escape from Pompeii', but sadly it just won't upload, so I hope to read it to you on our Microsoft Teams meeting.
