Good Morning, 

I will be on Purple Mash at 1pm-2pm today. 

I hope you have all had a relaxing half term. Thank you so much for the lovely video from the children! It was such a thoughtful thing to do, I have watched it lots of times. I might have shed a tear or two! 

This half term I am going to be using the seaside as our topic for English. I have emailed you the Mathematics sheets for the week ahead. 

Mathematics today is 2-digit add and subtract tens click here for the video. 

English- I would like the children to revisit nouns. Watch the video on BBC Bitesize click here. After the video there are some sentences on the screen where the children need to click on the common noun and the proper noun. When the children have finished the online activities they can write a word bank of common nouns they would find at the seaside. Make sure these are spelt correctly as they can use this as a word bank for our topic. You could use a dictionary with them to check the spellings. 

Please choose a subject for this afternoon from the whole school topic. The subjects you can choose from are; RE, Science, Cooking, Music, Geography, Art and Design, Design and Technology and Reading for Pleasure. You can find these under > Year Groups > Whole School Learning or click here and it will take you to that page. 

There are more than 5 subjects, so please just choose the ones you want to do this week. You do not need to complete all of them, if you have children in different year groups you will be able to complete the tasks together as a family.
