Monday 27th April
Good morning Year 6!
I hope you had a lovely weekend. It’s Monday morning and I have some new tasks for the week ahead. I have emailed all these ahead so you will have access to all the resources you need. You still need to look at the Home Learning sheet where there are lots more activities for you to do. Don’t forget that I am looking forward to seeing a piece of writing from each of you, which you can email to me before Wednesday.
But first I have a special challenge for you!
Have you seen the video of messages from all the staff at Holy Family School? click here to watch. Now we would like you to do the same for your friends! I would like you to email me a picture of yourself with a message for your friends at school. You could draw and paint your message or do something even more imaginative. Email your pictures by Thursday to the class email address. We will put all the pictures together into a film which we will then post for your friends to see. I am really looking forward to seeing your pictures!
Here are today’s tasks

Geography
Look at Geography powerpoint/pdf for Lesson 2 which I have emailed. In this lesson you will be exploring how urban landscapes have changed over time and how this can be seen by using photos and mapping software.
If you have access to a PC or a tablet, there is a practical task for you to complete. You will need to ask an adult to help you with this.
Or
If you cannot do this, read through the slides and make notes in your learning journal. If you have access to an atlas or any kind of Ordnance Survey map, take a look at them this week as one of your reading activities.
Monday is also music day. Have you had a look at the music lesson sent by Mrs James? You will be writing parody songs of your own; it would be great to hear them!
I hope you have a great day!
