Friday
Good morning Year 2
Happy Friday! I hope that you’ve all had a great week and are looking forward to your Easter holidays, you have all earned a well deserved break!
Today would usually be a half day in school, so I have only got a couple of things for you to do so that you can celebrate it being the end of term, even if it is a strange one!
Here is our last Roald Dahl Revolting Rhyme, just read it and enjoy it with someone in your family. Look again for your favourite parts, talk about why it is your favourite, and keep an eye out for any words that you don’t know. You also need to keep an eye out for a character we have met before!
The Three Little Pigs - Revolting Rhymes
I really hope that you have all enjoyed the Revolting Rhymes, if you want to read any of it out loud and see if your Mummies or Daddies can send me a video then please do!
If you want to do some Science today, see if you can sort these animals in to carnivores (animals who eat meat), herbivores (animals who eat plants) or omnivores (animals who eat meat and plants). Choose your own way of showing how you sort the animals, sorting things in your own way is an important skill for children in key stage one. Don’t forget to share any photos of how you have sorted them with me!
Carnivore, Herbivore and Omnivore Labels
Finally, we couldn’t end the term without doing some Easter crafts! Why don’t you have a go at making an Easter Card or picture that you could display in your window to make people smile? Here is a link to some ideas that you could copy if you wanted to.
Even though it is the end of term, I would always try and squeeze in a story too! So here is one to finish off the term, I hope you like it!
Have a really great Easter break everybody, spend time with the people in your home being extra lovely to each other, I hope that you get some Easter treats but remember that this time is all about being together and remembering how you might have helped people during Lent.
Lots of well wishes to you and your families, I’ll speak to you all soon!
Mrs Ferryman :-)
