Wednesday 1st April
Good morning Year 6,
I hope you had a great day yesterday. I enjoyed going out for my walk and saw loads of parakeets sitting in a tree having a great old chat! Today is Wednesday, so try to do some science if you can, Mrs Ferryman has another interesting activity lined up for you. Don’t forget that you have some home science activities in your learning pack to try too, just check with an adult before you use any ingredients or equipment from the kitchen!
Here are today’s tasks:
Maths
Continue to work through the tasks in your pack. I also have an investigation here for you to do. It might take you a couple of days to complete. You don’t need to print the sheets off if you can see them on a screen. You can draw and write your answers but no peeking at the solution!
English
Look at the following image from www.pobble365.com. Have a really good look at the picture, read the description and then scroll down to the questions. Jot down some notes for you answers and then try the sentence challenge. Choose your best sentence and upload it to the blog later.
Science
Choose a habitat and find out between 10 or 20 animals and plants that live there. Then use your research skills to have a go at classifying your animals in to different groups. Once you have done that, have a go at the jigsaw to assess your knowledge of classification. You can choose which level you do but make sure that you know all of the answers to the first jigsaw before you have a go at the second one. Mrs Ferryman
Finally....
Spend some time today finding a sunny spot (indoors or outside) to do some reading from a book of your choice, or if you can, listen to something using the Audible link I gave you on Monday. I hope your reading journals are filling with some amazing entries!
Have a great day!
Mrs Holt
