The Blog Bloke during school closure
I will post little snippets of information, thoughts and ideas on this page. Keep checking back for the latest updates.
Wednesday 25th March
I've been around the school this morning snapping some close up shots of things we pass every day. Can you recognise them? You can post on the purple mash blog if you think you've got all five ...or even just one! I need to know what it is and where it is?
Click on the document below to find the 5 photos.
Good luck everyone!
Tuesday 31st March
I hope all parents are finding the daily email updates helpful and informative. Obviously, at a time like this, there is not a lot going on around the school site but I wil continue to do my best to keep you enlightened about anything significant that is happening.
I also hope you are finding the 7pm evening prayers and reflections supportive and comforting. With Holy Week fast approaching, I will continue to share these with you so you can pray as a family in your homes.
Wednesday 1st April

After watching the movie, can you get creative and add anything extra?
Good luck everyone!
Monday 20th April
The summer term has officially begun but it's just not right without the children in school. It looks like summer; the sun is out, the trees and flowers are beginning to bloom but the school lacks spark, laughter and life. I've been on a quick 4 minute tour of the site which you can see by clicking on the links below:
I've also got a fun challenge for all children, parents and grandparents who are interested in football. Here it is:
Name your greatest ever World Football XI who have played during your life time. You can only have 1 player per country so choose wisely!
I will start you off with my selection...I reckon they wouldn't lose may games!
Peter Schmeichel (Denmark)
Cafu (Brazil) Beckenbauer (Germany) Kompany (Belgium) Maldini (Italy)
Keane (Republic of Ireland) Scholes (England)
Messi (Argentina) Zidane (France) C Ronaldo (Portugal)
Van Basten (Holland)
Bench: Xavi (Spain), Ibrahimovic (Sweden), Lewandowski (Poland), Dalglish (Scotland)
I've packed my bench with strikers because football should be played with flair and attacking intent.
Tuesday 21st April
Hello everyone, please see below my morning message and the second part of the school tour video:
Ok, here is today's fun sporting challenge. This time I'm focusing on cricket, a game I absolutely love. Name your best World XI of players who have played the game in your lifetime. Maximum of 2 players per country allowed and the team must be the correct balance of batsmen, bowlers/all-rounders and a wicket keeper.
Good luck...I will post my XI later on today.
I reckon this lot would be amazingly exciting to watch...
Kumar Sangakarra (Sri Lanka)
Brendan McCullum (New Zealand)
Sachin Tendulkar (India)
Viv Richards (West Indies)
Ricky Ponting (Australia)
Virat Kohli (India)
Ben Stokes (England)
Wasim Akram (Pakistan)
Shane Warne (Australia)
Dale Steyn (South Africa)
Michael Holding (West Indies)

With Mr Gorman now tracked down, today's video is a more sedate tour of the school to share with you the fruits of the workmen's hard work.
Friday 22nd May
It's been a long time since I posted a video. Today's offerings are not the most exciting but hopefully they will allow you to have sneak peak at how the school is currently looking ahead of the potential partial re-opening on June 1st. It doesn't really look like Holy Family bit it's only a temporary measure.
School tour ahead of June 1st re-opening
