Roald Dahl - Spring 2

Our topic this half term is Literacy led, we will be studying Roald Dahl and using his books in our English lessons; The Twits and Esio Trot. In Geography we will be developing our map skills using Digimaps to locate our school and our local library, we will be making our own maps with a key. We are going to use our maps to help us on our walk to Addlestone Library, using locational and directional language to get there. In History we will be finding out about Roald Dahl’s life and using a timeline to place events in chronological order. In art we will be studying the art work of Quentin Blake from his illustrations of Roald Dahls’ books. We will be creating our own in his style. We will also be creating some of the characters from the stories we are studying using different media. We will be finding out about fruit salads and creating our own to help the Twits to be healthy! In Science will will be finding out about the human body.
